Describe a quiz show on TV that you would like to take part in.You should say: what kind of quiz show it would be what kinds of questions would be asked * what preparation you would need to do for this show and explain why you would like to be a competitor in this program.Honestly speaking, Im not a huge fan of TV.When Im at leisure,Id rather browse some websites or enjoy a nice movie on line. Anyhow, I do have a favourite TV program- “Happy Dictionary”, which is a quiz show. In this program a wide range of prizes is offered to the winners. Its kind of like a famous quiz show called Millionair in America. In the beginning, the hostess will introduce the 5 participants. Then they will be presented a question. The one who answers the question correctly and quickly will be given an opportunity to take the quiz. The quiz is divided in to three or four stages, I cant remember exactly how many right now.Anyway, the participant can get each prize after going through each stage. The prizes are randomly decided by participant himself before the quiz, e.g. a computer, a laptop, a digital camera, a free package holiday, you know, things like that. There are three questions in each stage, and the way the hostess asks these questions makes the quiz more difficult, like when the participant have given an answer, she would confuse him by asking whether they are sure or not.Someone might at this time alter the right answer into a wrong one. I really enjoy this part. The participants can seek help for only three times during the whole procedure by calling a friend by phone, asking the audience to vote for the right answer or letting the computer erase one of the wrong answer. Most of the questions are multiple choices. This program normally lasts for an hour and is usually broadcasted at 9:00 PM on CCTV-2. For all these years,I think I have benefited a lot from watching this quiz show. Unlike all the sitcoms,(情景剧) this is the kind of program I can get to participate and rack my brain.(动脑筋)what kind of quiz showWell, actually, I clearly remembered Ive watched an interesting TV quiz show teasingly named Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? The program originated in the UK about 10 years ago. It is a kind of surprising twist on the game show genre which offers large cash prizes for correctly answering a series of questions and the maximum cash prize is as much as one million pounds.teasingly: 挑逗地what kinds of questions would be askedRandomized multiple-choice questions of varying difficulty will be given to the contestants including some daily common sense, sharp turns, specialized questions and so forth. Each time only one contestant plays and the emphasis is on suspense rather than speed.randomized multiple-choice questions:随机的多项选择题varying difficulty:各种难题the emphasis is on suspense rather than speed.:重点在悬念不在答题速度。what preparation you would need to do for this showAlthough the bonus is quite appreciable if you win, but it is really so risky that there are only two participants got it to date amongst millions of people longing to be a millionaire. As far as I am concerned to prepare the quiz show, wed better turn ourselves to be an encyclopedia to tackle the kaleidoscope of patterns questions randomly given by the test poor. Whats more, we have to ask a friend via hotlines for help during responding questions. In addition, probably calmness may lead you to correct more questions.quite appreciable:相当可观turn ourselves to be an encyclopedia:把自己变成百科全书吧kaleidoscope of patterns:千变万化的形式questions randomly given by:随机给出的问题explain why you would like to be a competitor in this programIf I had a chance, I definitely would like to have a try. Not only for the cash prize, but for really an awesome and gorgeous games excited me a lot. By the way, I am into the sense of achievement no matter the result.definitely would like to have a try:当然想去试!sense of achievement:成就感
