(6 years old)2) Raise Up Flash Cards Depending on how many flash cards you have,give out to children and have then stand in a row, have the kids squat.Say one of the vocab words and the kid holding that card should jump up.3) High Low Voice Say word in a High(loud) voice and the kids sayin a low(soft) voice. And do the opposite for low voice.drill game4) Telephone whisper in the ear of a kid the word or sentence(depending on age) and have the kid whisper to the other kid next tothem and go on from there. At the end of the line the last kid should say the word or sentence you began with.5) Telephone with Actions same as above but at the end the kid does the action that comes with the vocab or sentence. (4 years old)6) Number Game Show (For teaching numbers) Teacher will say 1, 2and buzz and have kids say 3, this goes on for every third number, so 3, 5, 7, 9, 12, and so on.(6 years old)7) Who is Faster? Hang the cards or have words or sentences writtenout on the blackboard and call pairs up to the front of the class.Teacher then will say the word or sentence and yell BEGIN! And thekids will run up to the board and point to the word/sentence you said.8) Jump Forward Have a pair of kids stand a few feet away from youand start saying vocab, when the kid says correctly they jump forward, when kid reaches teacher they get a prize. (6 years old)9) Pass Ball Before hand, practice the chant “passing ball, passing ball,passing, passing, passing ball ” this is the chant the kids will be sayingthroughout the game. Then show the kids passing and and explainSTOP!, teacher will yell stop and the kid holding the ball will come up front and answer the teacher.10) Write on Back Teacher will call a student to the front and trace aword/letter on the back of a kid, the kid will then have to say what the teacher had traced on there back. Hang the flash cards on the board and then havethe kids close there eyes, then the teacher will pull one of the cards offthe board and have the kids open there eyes and say what is missing.12) Slam Card! Teacher picks one flash card and starts walking aroundall the kids, the kids try to slam/hit the card while saying the vocab13) Find color in classroom Teacher will find something in theclassroom and say “ I see something red ” and the children will thenstart saying what is red. (This game is just like eye spy and can havethe difficulty raised for various ages, for example in High School, theteacher could say “ I see something red, fluffy, and long ” and then thekids will have to find that one object, with the younger kids multiple objects are ok as answers)14) Around the world Have the kids sit in a circle, 1 kid starts off bystanding behind the kids chair next to them, the teacher will then say aword/sentence and whoever says it first and correctly wins, if the childstanding behind the other kid wins they just move on, however, if thekid sitting down wins then they get up and move behind the kid next to them and the kid standing up sits down.15) Drive Train Teacher acts like train conductor and will make the“Choo Choo” sound and move around the class, picking kids andhaving them say vocab if correct the teacher will ask them to join thetrain, if child answers wrong then the kid cannot join the train. (Thisgame is very action oriented and sound effects play a big part as well)16) Guess from lips Teacher will say a vocab word without any soundand the children will have to guess what you are saying by movingyour lips ( This game is not good for 4 and 5 years old, the teacher hasto be saying these words to the extreme of lip saying) (6 years old)17) Read next one Teacher will hang cards on board or have writtenthem out ( or sentences) and then will begin to point to variouswords/sentences, the kids will then say the next or the one below,depending on how the board is set up, they do not say the one the teacher points too. (6 years old)drill game18) Put card on Head Choose some children to the front and then placecards on there heads with out them seeing them ( already have the kidsput there arms up ready to hold the cards) then have each kid ask theclass if they have a certain card, ex. Kid has tiger card on head, kiddoes not know this, he will then ask the class “Is it peacock ” class willanswer with NO!, then next child will ask class and so on from there)19) Red/Green Stick Teacher will have stick or something with red onone side and green on the other, teacher will then point to words on board if green side kids say, if red do not answer.
