Function: communicative training Teaching method: Task-based,The main task of this part is to know the technique of cloning and some cloned animals. Therefore, let students know the main topic of the whole unit.,Teaching objectives:,* Enable students to have a preliminary knowledge of the technique of cloning and cloned animals. * Let students know the skills and procedures of debate.,* Enable students to describe a picture by their own words rightly. * To improve their collaborative abilities by group-work. * Help students improve their moral abilities about clone.,Step1 Brainstorming and free discussion 1 Review the serious pollution and environmental problems of Unit 2. 2 Questions:,Teaching procedures:,a) How should we do to protect the endangered plants and animals? b) What do you know about cloning? c) What other cloned animals do you know about?,Step 2 Picture discussion Show some pictures of cloned animals in the world to the students and introduce some information of them one by one. Pair-wok: Let students describe the picture with their partners after presenting the pictures.,Step 3 Group-work and discussion 1 Divide the class into two groups and ask them to think about the question:,Discussion: Do you think it would be a good idea to clone humans some day? Why or why not?,Appoint two groups (one group is Pro-cloning, the other group is Anti-cloning) and introduce the rules and procedures of debate. Group-work: Let students have a free debate.,Homework,Let students write down what you think in the debate. Prepare for the reading part.,Thank you!,
