So much did they eat that they could not move for the next hour.【拓展】suchthat与sothat意思相同，而such后边要用名词这个名词前面可以带形容词，也可以不带。因此，suchthat的句型结构可分以下三种：1. such+ a(n)+形容词+单数名词+ that如：It was such a fine day that nobody wanted to stay at home. 2. such+形容词+复数名词+ that如：Our teacher told us such funny stories that all the students laughed. 3. such+形容词+不可数名词+ that如：The book is written in such easy English that beginners can understand it. 【注意】so . that . 引导结果状语从句有时候可以与such . that .句型相互转换。如：The stone is so heavy that I can lift it up.= It is such a heavy stone that I can lift it up.如果such后边的名词前由表数量的many、 much、few、little等词所修饰的话，那么不用such而用so。【实例对接】I was so nervous that I tried to back out, but my friends persuaded me to go through with it.
