Book 6_教案_U4_ Project_9-9牛津高中英语教学设计教材:牛津高中英语(模块六)高二上学期文档内容:教学设计教案单元:Unit 4 Helping people around the world板块:Project Making an action planThoughts on the design:在本课时中,学生可以通过阅读护士日记,对个人如何在Doctors without Borders组织下进行医疗救助的行为有着非常感性和直观的了解。在此基础之上,学生可以根据自己的意愿为自己做一个帮助他人的行动计划。因此,在教学设计上,可以利用task当中所学到proposal的制定方法,由学生讨论,最后完成个人行动计划的制定。Teaching aims:After learning Task, the students will be able to:1. Finish a project by working together with what theyve learnt;2. Have a better understanding about what can be done to help poor people in poor areas.Teaching procedures: Step 1 Lead in 1. Ask students whether theyve heard of an international organization called Doctors without Borders after having learnt so many organizations of the UN, and ask them to guess what the function of this organization is.2. Explain Doctors without Borders to students before they listen to the passage.ExplanationDoctors without Borders作为一个极其具有人道主义精神的组织,因为其专业的特殊性,一直不为大众所了解。所以在阅读前介绍Doctors without Borders, 能够帮助学生加深对这个组织的印象,并在阅读中更好地理解。Step 2 Text analysis1. Read the passage while listening to it, and look for some specific information required in the chart.2. Have a discussion about why the nurse devotes so much to her work.Explanation这个环节是在进行project之前的信息获取过程,因为文章较长,所以只听不读容易造成信息遗漏,只读不听则会是学生阅读速度较慢。所以建议边听边读。在完成课件上信息收集的相关表格之后,讨论护士的选择,有利于使这个篇章的阅读上升到一个“奉献”、“互助”的价值观的高度,同时也为后面活动的进行提供了意义上的保证。Step 3 Discussion Make an action plan 1. Give students a possible outline of “My action plan” and students are supposed to complete the “plan” according to the text.2. Encourage students to make discuss about their future plan about helping children in rural areas who can't afford to go to school.3.
