This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by November 2002, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by November 2002. This document has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission and the European Free Trade Association, and supports essential requirements of EU Directive(s). This document is not applicable in the creep range. NOTE Other materials will be added later by amendments. It specifies the requirements for the selection, inspection, testing and marking of metallic materials for the fabrication of unfired pressure vessels. This Part of this European Standard does not give provisions for material requirements and material selection for vessels designed using Design by Analysis Direct Route (DBA) of EN 134453:2002, Annex B. 2 Normative references This European Standard incorporates by dated or undated reference, provisions from other publications.
