The long tangent elbows are suitable for the manufacture of compression fittings; the 55 mm radius elbow has been excluded for this application. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure that the remaining dimensions not specified in this standard, the materials and the production processes, compatible with both service pressure and fluids, are stated in the purchasing contract. 2 Reference The title of the British Standard referred to in this standard is given on the inside back cover. 3 Dimensions 3.1 The envelope dimensions for 90° short tangent elbows shall be as detailed in Table 1. 3.2 The envelope dimensions for 90° long tangent elbows shall be as detailed in Table 2. 3.3 The envelope dimensions for 135° short tangent elbows shall be as detailed in Table 3. 3.4 The envelope dimensions for 135° long tangent elbows shall be as detailed in Table 4.
