Scope This Japanese Industrial Standard provides for the following fittings of manual remote control gears for forepeak bulkhead valve mainly of nominal diameter 100 mm or under. (1) Deck stand (2) Yoke (3) Fork (4) Bracing (5) Check ring Remark: In this standard the particulars in System of Units (SI) and given for reference only. Material The materials shall be as shown in Figs. 2 and 7 to I O. 4. Construction, Shape and Dimensions The construction, shape and dimensions shall conform to Figs, 2 to 10 and to the following requirements: (I) (2) (3) (4) (5) (6) The pan head machine screw shall conform to JIS B 1101 . The set screw shall conform to J I S B 1 117. The hexagon nut shall conform to JIS B 11 81-Class I . The split pin shall conform to JIS B 135 I The split taper pin shall conform to JIS B 1353. The handwheel shall conform to JIS B 2601-NO. I. 5. Tests and Inspection The fittings shall be tested and inspected according to the following items: (I) Appearance Inspection detrimental defect. Every parts shall be well finished and be free from (2) Performance Test on each part. The deck stand shall work smoothly and have no disorder 6. Designation The control gear fitting shall be designated by title, name of fitting and type. JIS number may be used in place of the title. Examples I . For yoke type 80: Yoke of Manual Remote Control Gear for Forepeak Bulkhead Valve on Small Ships Type 80, or JIS F 3025-Yoke 80. 3, For fork type A . Marking The following items shall be marked on an easily visible surface of the deck stand.
