Scope This standard provides for gooseneck brackets used for JIS .F 2201-Ships Steel Plate Derrick Booms. 2. Nominal Load The nominal load of the gooseneck bracket shall represent the safe working load of the corresponding derrick boom. 3. Construction, Shape, Dimensions and Material The construction, shape, dimensions and materials shall be as.shown in Figs. I to 3. 4. Visual Inspection The gooseneck bracket shall show no defect on external appearance, its welding shall be reliable and all finished part be smooth. 5. Designation The gooseneck bracket shall be designated by title, nominal load and kind of block holder. JIS number may be used in place of the title. Examples I , 2.
