Scope This standard covers pig lead (hereinafter referred to as the “pig“). 2. Class The pig shall be grouped into six classes as shown in Table 1 according to the chemical compo sition. 3. Inspection 5. 1 Method of Sampling f o r Chemical Analysis In case taking sample f o r chem- ical analysis when the pig is cast, more than five cast samples at each tnelt shall be taken. Cast samples shall be so taken care of the shape and size of mould and of the time for being cast that they shall represent the quality of the pig a s much as possible. In case of taking samples for chemical analysis from the pig, more than five pieces of the pig shall be taken f r o m each melt marked on the pig. 5. 2 Chemical analysis shall, as a rule, be performed in the manufacturing plant. by the purchaser and manufacturer. H 2105-1955 5. 3 The pig shall be inspected in appearance and also meet the requirements in 3 by the test specified in 4. 5. 4 The manufacturer shall submit the results of chemical analysis. 6.
