Consequently JIS R 6219 : 1999 is replaced with this Standard. Table 1 Classification by the material of abrasive grains Classification by the material of abrasive grains A, WA, PA, HA, Z C, GC (alumina abrasive grains) (silicon carbide abrasive grains) Remarks : Mixture of two kinds of abrasive grains can be applied, and in this case the com- bined classification symbol of abrasive grains is used. Type of inspection Sample size Multiple of testing 4.4.2 Safety Safety of grinding wheel of outside diameter 100 mm or over shall be tested with the rotating test specified in 3.5.1 of JIS R 6240, and the result shall satisfy Grade 2 of Table 8. However, for the grinding wheel specified as regular speed in Table 1 in 3.1 of JIS R 6241 which satisfies the specification of Grade 3 in Table 8 at the test of the break down rotary test specified in 3.5.2 of JIS R 6240 can omit the rotary test for each lot in Grade 2.
