Smoking is harmful Smoking cigarettes is very harmful to our health. Studies show that smoking can cause cancer and other health problems. Smoker should give up smoking. In addition to health problem, there are other reasons to give up smoking. First, cigarette is very expensive. It is estimated that a smoker will at least spend more than $400 a year. And ,smoking leaves an offensive odor. Non-smoker dont like to be at around the smoker. Further-more ,smoking is a source of pollution. These are all good reasons to give up smoking . Of course ,it is not easy to give up smoking ,but it can be done. First ,a smoker may list the disadvantages of smoking ,which will be very helpful for him to give it up. Then ,the smoker should get support form his relatives or close friends. Last but not least ,the smoker should habit ,such as fishing and reading ,which will take the smokers mind off smoking. 吸烟严重危害着我们的健康。研究表明，吸烟可能导致癌症和其他健康问题。吸烟者应该戒烟。 另外还有其他应该戒烟的理由。首先，烟是笔大的开销。据估计，吸烟者每年至少要花费400美元。其次，吸烟留下了讨厌的味道，不吸烟者不喜欢和吸烟者在一起。另外，吸烟是一种污染。上述这些都是戒烟的完美理由。 当然，戒烟并不容易，但是这是能够做到的。首先，吸烟者可以罗列吸烟的坏处，这将非常有助于戒烟。这时，吸烟者应获得亲人、朋友的支持。最终必不可少的是，吸烟者应该养成诸如钓鱼，读书之类的兴趣习惯来取代吸烟。Types of CommunicationsCommunications play a more and more important role in our modern life. People need to communicate with others and strengthen their understanding. As a result ,it will promote their relationships. Moreover, through communicating with others,people keep pace with the rapid development of modern society .Communications basically fall into three types. First of all ,face to face communication keeps people in closer contact and feelings. But due to the fast pace life ,it is impossible to meet each other often. Secondly, people used to write each other letters, expressing feelings , and passing on information. However, with the rapid development of telecommunica tions and computers, people tend to make phone calls or send e-mails. This last type of communication seems to replace the first two.I prefer making calls or sending e-mails though it sounds impersonal. By doing so ,I can save a lot of time but I can still keep close contacts with others. I really appreciate modern communication means ,which have brought us so much convenience. I cant help asking why not make good use of them.通讯的方式: 通讯在现代生活中扮演着越来越重要的角色.人们需要同他人交流并增进了解.以此增进友情.除此之外, 通过与人交流,人们才能与现代社会的快速发展同步. 通讯基本可以分为三种形式:首先,面对面的交流可以使人们保持更为亲密的接触,使感情走的更近, 但基于快节奏的生活方式, 人们却不可能经常见面.其次, 过去人们经常写信来表达感情,传递信息.但是随着电信业和电脑的飞速发展,人民逐渐趋向于打电话或发邮件.最后一种交流的方式似乎要取代前面两种方式.尽管听起来不那么人性化,我本人还是愿意打电话或发电子邮件.这样我可以节省时间还能和他人保持密切联系.我十分感谢现代通讯工具, 它们为我们提供了如此多的便捷.我忍不住要问为什么不好好利用他们呢?
