Put together, they might possibly provide us with the key for a bright and long future. You met a foreign visitor when in an art gallery in Beijing. He was eager to know more about Chinese painting, and invited you to introduce some basic elements in Chinese paintings. His questions are as follows: In what way are Chinese paintings connected with calligraphy? What is the aim of the traditional Chinese painter?
