Ill prepare to say the lesson from four parts. Part One Analysis of the Teaching Material.(一) STATUS AND FUNCTION1.This is an important lesson in Book One. From this lesson , attain “four skills” requests and tell the Ss to remember the new words and write the English sentences well. So this lesson is in the important position of the teaching material.2.This lesson is the first one of Unit 4.So if the Ss can learn it well, it will be helpful to make the Ss learn the rest of this unit.3.Such a topic is related to daily life, so it is helpful to raise learning interests of students and improve their spoken English.(二)ANALYSIS OF THE STUDENTSThe Ss has learned English so far. The Ss have a great interest in English now.(三)TEACHING AIMS AND DEMANDSThe teaching aim is established according to Junior School English syllabus provision.1.Knowledge objects(1) To make the Ss know how to use the question “what job do you do . .” and “what do you usually do?.”and everyday expressions . (2) To study the new words , by learning the dialogue of this lesson.(3) To finish some exercises.2.Ability objects(1) To develop the Ss abilities of four skills” (2) To train the Ss ability of working in pairs and groups.(3) To develop the Ss abilities of communication by learning the useful structures.3. Moral objects(1) To enable the Ss to be polite and love life.(2) To enable the Ss to work hard for the future.(四)TEACHING KEY AND DIFFICULT POINTSThe teaching key and difficult points basis is established according to Sample A of Lesson 4 in the teaching materials position and function.1.Key points:(1).To help the Ss to communicate with each other.(2).To enable the Ss to study in groups and co-operate skillfully.(3).To develop the Ss interest in English.2.Difficult points:(1) How to make dialogues and act them out.(2) How to write the right whole sentences.(五) TEACHING AIDSMulti-media computer, Tape recorder, Software: Powerpoint or Authorware, school things and so on. They will be needed in this lesson.Part Two The Teaching Methods1. Communicative teaching method2. Audio-visual teaching method3. Task-based” teaching methodAs we all know: the main instructional aims of learning English in the Middle School is to cultivate students “four skills” and their good sense of the English language That is to say, Ill let the Ss to get a better understanding of the key structure of the dialogue. Ill give the Ss some tasks and arrange five kinds of activities: talking, guessing games, watching PPT, acting and having a competition.Teaching special featuresTo use these methods are helpful to develop the Ss thought.Part Three STUDYING WAYS1.Teach the Ss how to be successful language learners.2.Let the Ss pass "ObservationImitationPractice " to study language.3.Teach the Ss how to master dialogues and how to communicate with others.Teaching special features:Let the Ss communicate with each other and adopt competition methods to develop the Ss keen interest in English.Part Four Teaching ProcedureIll finish this lesson in four steps. First Ill divide the Ss into four groups and bring a competition into the class. At last lets see which group is the winner.I. Warming up:1.Read the new words and the text.2. Quick response:1) Where does Susan work ?2) What does she do ?3) Does she like her job ?4) Why does she like it ?5) Does she wear a uniform ?II. Pre-task preparation:1. Have students look at the eight pictures of uniforms in Look and match. Introduce the eight jobs with them first. Then ask them to match the uniforms and the jobs. Check answers orally.2. Give students some time to read Peters report in Read and guess. In pairs, students complete the report together. They need to guess what Mr Chens job is. Ask students what their guesses are and the reasons. Have two or three students read their reports aloud.3.ask ss to act out in pairs to practice the instructure.&4.Show a picture of ZhaoBenshan,explain that 40years,he is just like a pane.Take some photographs of those people you see when you go to work. Show them to the class. Say: Every morning, I see Mrs Wang. Shes a guard in my building. I also see Mr Li. He sells newspapers. I see Mrs Zhu, too. She cooks food in a fast-food shop. Ask: Who do you see on your way to school ? What are they doing ?5. Give the students some time to read the passage silently again. Make sure students understand that each job has its own value and that they should not look down on people because of the jobs they do.6. Have students complete the table in Write individually. Check answers orally.III. While-task procedure:1. Students are required to write about what they see on their way to school. They need to take photographs or draw pictures and supply suitable captions for them.2. Read: Tommy Target together.IV. Post-task activity:1. You may review the eight jobs in Read, write and say on page 28 with students.2. Invite a more able students to read the story aloud to check answers together. Help him/her with some difficult pronunciation if necessary.V. Homework.4
